Introduction

What a beautiful coastal town. If not staying for a few days, it makes an easy daytrip from Marrakech.
Do take some time to explore this lovely town. It has a laid back, friendly atmosphere.
It is clean and fresh, with many, many photo oppurtunities.

What should you do, see, experience?

At the habour

Best way to enjoy this beautiful little town is to explore it by foot.
There is a lot to do do and see.
It is quite laid back, hassle free and friendly.
The fresh seafood is great - don't miss that.

Photography

I found Essaouira to be one of the best places in the world for photography. The wonderful blue skies, the harbour, architecture etc all made for great photos.
Maybe I was lucky that spesific day (weather) - but the crisp clean skies made it a great photographic experience.

Dag Skat. Great page on Essaouira. This is definitely the next place we want to visit. I saw a doco about it-looks amazing and unspoilt.

Your Essouirah harbour picture is one of the most amzing pictures on VT. I just came back from Morocco but did not get a chance to go Essoirah. It is on my list for the next visit
