Domestic flights AIR TRAVEL Review

The Domestic Terminals in Mumbai are a much more pleasant experience compared to International. Things run very smooth. I have used both Kingfisher and Jet, and had no problems.
Remember that you need to have your luggage security checked before going to the counters. Hand luggage should also be tagged and stamped.

Fix a price/fare TAXIS Review

The black and yellow taxis which never stops horning is most probably the easiest way to get around in Mumbai.
In the Colaba - Marine Drive - Crawford Market area you should not pay much more than
Rs50 - 60 per trip.
It is best to name your destination and fix a price before getting in.
I did not find many taxi drivers who were verey bad, and hardly ever had to bargain too much.

Leaving Mumbai AIR TRAVEL Review

Arriving at Mumbai airport was with very little hassle.
Leaving was a major problem! I previously visited Mumbai during March, and it was not as chaotic as it was now when I left early January.
They are busy renovating the airport, which complicates things even more.
I do think you need to be at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight leaves. I'm sure if renovations are completed, things will be much easier.

From the airport TAXIS Review

Do make use of the pre-paid taxi service available at the airport.
As you come out of the arrivals area, you wil find the office on the righthand side.
I arrived at 00h20 and it was no problem.
I paid Rs450 from the airport to Marine Drive (Dec 2007).
It is a bit more expensive (Rs50 extra) for a A/C taxi.
