SOUTH AFRICA

Protea - a beautiful South African flower
I live in South Africa, a country at the Southern tip of Africa.
South Africa is a place of great diversity - a whole world in one country. Despite a problematic and not so good history, it is still my favourite place in the world.
I have traveled extensively in my own country, but there is still so much to see and do.
Some of the highlights for a visitor to South Africa includes Cape Town (the most cosmopolitan and popular city), The Kruger Park (a great place to spend a week or more), The Garden Route and many more.
South Africa is divided into 9 provinces and each province has something completely different to offer.
With the FIFA Soccer World Cup planned for 2010, the country is preparing itself for many more tourists.
Do visit this beautiful country. I am proud to be South African, despite the many problems we do have in our country. You will find South Africans to be very hospitable and welcoming.
Feel free to ask as me many questions about South Africa as you like.
I will hopefully have a page about South Africa soon.

My Travels

I would say that my favourite country to visit is India. The people, culture and diversity is fantastic. I can't see how I will ever get tired of visiting this wonderful place.

Part of the joy of traveling is that every country offers something completely different.

When I travel, I never try to see many countries during one trip, but rather spend enough time in one country to get to no the people and culture as well as doing the normal touristy things.

I am also facinated by the Middle East and North Africa. I find these countries to be very different and interesting, with warm and welcoming people.
Essaouira, Morocco
