The joy of traveling | Protea - a beautiful South African flower |
To travel is an experience one cannot measure in any terms. It is something to share and also become addicted to. I live in South Africa, far from Europe, UK, Asia, Australia, NZ, USA, Canada etc... But, it is a country of diversity - a whole world in one country. Although I have traveled extensively in my own country, there is still so much to see and do. Some of the highlights for a visitor to South Africa includes Cape Town, The Kruger Park, The Garden Route and many more. South Africa is divided into 9 provinces: - Western Cape (major city= Cape Town), Gauteng (major cities Johannesburg and Pretoria), Eastern Cape (major city= Port Elizabeth), Free State (major city = Bloemfontein), Nothern Cape (major city = Kimberley), Mpumalanga (major city= Nelspruit, Kruger Park), Limpopo Province (major city= Polokwane (Pietersburg) and Kwazulu-Natal (major city = Durban). Each province has something completely different to offer. Although many people (especially professionals) left South Africa, I am always happy to return to this beautiful country, which is my home. With the Soccer World Cup planned for 2010, the country is preparing itself for many more tourists. Do visit this beautiful country. Feel free to ask as many questions you like. (All pictures on home page and travel pages are taken by me) |
| | Traveling Joy I would say that my favourite country to visit is India. The people, culture and diversity is fantastic. I can't see how you will ever get tired of visiting this wonderful country. The joy of traveling is that every country offers something completely different. Europe with its history and culture also offers endless travel options. It is also a great way of meeting wonderful people. You might not become life-long friends, but it is always great to meet locals and spend some time with them. Countries on my wishlist would include too many to mention, but Chile, Mexico, Russia, Iran and Syria would be high on the list. |
