West Coast I cycled the PCH in 99. If you love the coast you will certainly love this. This trip took 54 days in total, 38 actually cycling the remainder just loafing about enjoying (no time frame see). Accomodation in campsites regularly spaced along the way usually they will have a Hiker/Biker area, cheaper & less luxurious miles from the loo, but has a water point. LA was a *** to get through. And a lot, but by no means all, of the Hiker/Biker sites were prone to fill up with vagrants especially once past San Francisco. SF is a great city to cycle around as is San Diego. Then its down to TJ. A brief period of reflection on a great ride, then back up to LA to find a flight home. This ride is a great intro to long distance cycling, I met loads of great folk on and off bikes,I would do this one again. |
