I can see why they call Lexington, KY the "horse capital". Drive along I-64 or I-75 and just get off any secondary road along the way and within three minutes you will see a horse farm or stables or horses. Ocala, FL is like that on its outskirts but not as prevelant as here in Kentucky. Must be something in the grass (chuckle). (actually it has to do with the amount of limestone in the soil.... good for bones I guess). This part of Kentucky could also vie for the "panoramic view capital" too. Bright green pastures against deep blue skies and rolling hills make for some mighty nice photographs. wikipedia info: 268000 people in Lexington in Fayette County official website for Lexington: http://www.lfucg.com/ |
