"Savannah.... our very first stop in Georgia" Savannah by davecallahan

Savannah was the next stop on our I-95 trip from New England to Florida.
It was further south than we had ever been before and even this early in the spring, you could tell it was a lot warmer than what we were used to.

We stayed in the soutwest suburbs and drove in to the city, parked for the day and walked/bused/trolleyed everywhere we wanted.

The VT Savannah pages are so numerous and unorganized that I will only summarize here and be done with it for now.

SAVANNAH:
great place to visit. BUT a bit too busy for me to want to live here. The city itself is beautiful, architecturally and layout-wise. The landscaping is kept up-to-date by an active crew of cleaners and gardeners. The people are friendly and helpful (when we lost our way a couple of times.... should have bought the city map). BUT there are just too many of them, people I mean.
and in the suburbs: it looked about the same as our home except it was a lot warmer.
so like I said, great place to visit.
