  • Located north of Acropolis and east of the ancient agora roman agora was built between 19 and 11 BC took the name because it was made during the roman times with funds from Julius Caesar and Augustus

  • Stoa of Attalos was built and named after the king Attalos ruler of Pergamos(159-138BC) Stoa was a gift to Athens and was the bigger ancient building there.In 1940 the stoa was reconstructed and used since as a museum

  • The arch of Hadrian was built in 132BC to celebrate the arrival of the roman emperor Hadrian(all the arch was made with pentelic marble).There are two inscriptions on the arch, the first one says This is Athens the ancient city of Theseus and the second This is the city of Hadrian not of Theseus Just beyond the arch is the temple of Olympian Zeus

  • This Doric temple was completed in 415BC also known as Theseion it crowns the hill of kolonos agoraios and was dedicated to Hephaetos god of fire and metalsmithing and Athena goddess of wisdom

    this octagonal building was made in the 1st century BC
    designed by Adronikos a very famous astronomer
