"Ramstein" Ramstein-Miesenbach by Kid-A

Ramstein-Miesenbach Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 20 photos

Ramstein-Miesenbach is a large village in the Kaiserslautern area. It is the closest village to the Ramstein NATO air base, so there are a lot of businesses catering specifically to military people (such as auto dealers and real estate rental agencies). It's also a bit noisy in this area because of the aircraft from the base.

I do tennis instructing in Ramstein a few days a week at the Ramstein Tennishalle (the word "halle" meaning indoor tennis). It's a fast carpet surface.

This is one of the symbols of Ramstein -- I think it's a lion of some sort.

I'll add some restaurant recommendations on this page when I get a chance, because there are quite a lot of nice places to eat in this village.

It's nice to see a page about these very small places on VT.I used to buy crockery in Miesenbach, but the factory closed down, as so many in the area.
