Blouberg Manor Boutique Hotel: In a word: cozy Blouberg Manor Boutique Hotel Review

The Blouberg Manor Boutique Hotel was a great experience and I highly recommend it!

There are about 10 rooms to let, and my colleague and I had the place to ourselves. It has a feeling of being at home, which is nice when this is stop number 3 of a 5-stop business trip!

My room looked down on the small pool area, and each morning I woke up to the salt-water smells and the sounds of waves crashing -- the Bloubergstrand beach is a stone's throw away!

One bad thing as of January 2008: there is some construction going on next door. There is a large restaurant being constructed. It's still in the early phases, so maybe ask about that when calling to enquire about reservations. It was pretty quiet when I was there, but then they weren't really into the construction phase yet.

Prices: The hotel is slightly more expensive then other hotels in the Cape Town area. But you'll understand where that money went when you get there, trust me! :)

Unique Qualities: Each room has a theme. I stayed in the Afrikaans room.

Address: 6 Verkoutern Street, Bloubergstrand, 7441, Cape Town, South Africa

Comparison: more expensive than average

Directions: It's located on a small cul de sac street away from all traffic noises. It's a 3-minute walk over to the Blue Peter Hotel and Bar, where the drinks flow freely late into the night!

Phone: +27 (0)21 554 - 3135

Price: US$80-120

Theme: Bed and Breakfast
