where do i begin???

There's enough to do and see in Paris to last a few lifetimes. I've been 6 or 7 times to sightsee and I can now successfully navigate my way through much of the city by car, but I still don't feel like I've grasped the Parisian culture. Maybe it's because I don't speak French?? Maybe it just requires much more time (and some grasp of the language).

Hmmm...I guess I'll just start with my favorite places.

If I'm there in the winter, I like to spend a few hours walking through the Pere-Lachaise cemetery. I initially went there to see Jim Morrison's grave, but then ended up staying another 2 hours just walking around. It's so quiet. I don't see how that's possible as it's in Paris and Paris is noisy, but there you go.

In the summer, the Luxembourg Gardens is a very nice place to bring a picnic and have dinner as the sun sets. They'll kick you out at about 21:00, but that's ok.

There's so much more to say and I will come back and put much more on this page later...promise.

I like the idea of the Sewer Tour. never did that. You certainly have shown me a very different view of Paris. Hard I guess for those that live at Jim Morrisons apt.
