The Place

I like the woods, I like the mountains, I like hiking in summer and skiing in winter, I like black nights to look at the stars. For all of this, Kruševo is a great place. It's on 1250m altitude, high above the Pelagonian plane.

The People

Kruševo is a small town, everyone seems to know everyone here. And people are open and friendly, even to foreigners like me, and it is easy to make new friends. However, the economic situation is very bad and seems to become even worse. For young people its very hard to get a job, so many of them leave to the big cities or even for abroad.

The Partnership

I have been visiting Kruševo ten times within the last eight years - and I am already looking forward to my next trip there. I do these visits as part of a partnership which exists between my home town/region in Switzerland and the region around Kruševo. Great tips Heinz! We had to to an emergency break in a curve in the road for two turtles last month :-) But we all survived it and we put the turtles safely next to the road!
