There is an excellent Roman theater(for 8000 people) ,medieval fortress and ancient city.
Civilization started with Nabateans. (2.ccBC) Bizanthions, Memluks, Baybars changed a bit.
Because of cistern and foods it is a stopover for pilgrims trvelling to Mecca.
You may see also Mabrak mosque in the city where Mohammed stayed.
