Okay...Harvard in not in Boston proper, but it is not far away, and the beautiful architecture and ambiance of the place make it a must see.

Directions: Take the T's Red Line to Harvard stop and make sure you take the stairs to Harvard Yard so you can just walk right into the most beautiful freshman stomping grounds on earth.

DuBarry’s Newbury Street Mural includes 81 of Boston’s personalities, including JFK, Babe Ruth, Bette Davis and Isabella Stewart Gardner. It was painted in 1991 and is now in terrible disrepair. I don't know if it will be restored, so if you want to see this, go now.

Boston has the only swanboats in the world. I haven't a photo of them, but easy enough to find using an image search on Google. Better yet, come to Boston and see them yourself. Robert McCloskey made them famous in his children's classic Make Way for Ducklings, another must read for those planning a trip to Boston.
