By the time I got to Munich, the sniffles and sore throat that taunted the day before in Regensburg took a sinister turn and really got serious. I tried so hard to keep up the pace and visit all the places I had read about, but about mid-day, I sat on a bench in Englischer Garten and disolved into tears. Too many cities, too quickly and with a bad cold. I have very few pictures of Munich and I don't like the idea of using scanned postcards, so I will settle for some accounts of the things I did see, and a promise to myself to return with loads of film and time and my health.
