Dead Horse Point Overlook - Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point is a beautiful overlook that provides a great view of the Colorado River. The story goes that horses that were unwanted were left corralled here. Although they could see the river down below, they couldn't get to it, so they died of thirst. It costs $10/vehicle to enter this state park.

I honestly am not sure if you can hike in this park. We didn't have time, so we didn't check into that. You can't beat... more travel advice

So glad you made it here! Just in case anyone is interested, there's about 10 miles of trails here but I haven't gotten to do them either.
