"Dead Horse Point State Park" Dead Horse Point State Park by agapotravel

Dead Horse Point is a beautiful overlook that provides a great view of the Colorado River. The story goes that horses that were unwanted were left corralled here. Although they could see the river down below, they couldn't get to it, so they died of thirst. It costs $10/vehicle to enter this state park.

What a sadistic way to get rid of unwanted horses! The view is great, though, I must say.

So glad you made it here! Just in case anyone is interested, there's about 10 miles of trails here but I haven't gotten to do them either.
