St. Thomas is in the U.S. Virgin Islands. We spent 2 nights here. This is the island most people fly into to visit the Virgin Islands. There are numerous beaches that are breathtaking, a lot of history and culture that you can discover, and many other places to explore.

You drive on the left side of the road. It wasn't difficult to get used to that; however, the steep hills and sharp curves require some maneuvering. Also, the speed limit is 20-30 mph max on the islands, but the locals don't seem to adhere to that at all. It is common for them to blow their horn at you; it's not a matter of being rude; it's letting you know they are there (and probably speeding around a steep curve). :-)

A lovely page. An underwater camera would be great, your photo's came out nice & clear. This place looks very enticing with those nice white beaches. Great views from the Mountain top too!

Taking the steps seemed like the way to go for us. The cover pic on my site is near the top. Tourists and jammed shopping I remember even back in 1977 for my first trip of 5 so far. Thanks

Wow, your appartment looks marvellous! The bathroom is so fantastic!! Showering among the plants :-) It seems that the island has more than only beaches, lovely old houses! Have you ever considered Belize for a trip?

It's a shame that some places were closed, but you have some lovely photos and descriptions to share nevertheless. I love the view from Mountain Top, the beautiful beaches and the old houses in the town :-)
