St. John

Sunset at Coral Bay
We spent 4 nights on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is amazing how the islands are so close in proximity to each other, and yet, so different. St. John was more laid back than St. Thomas and not as quiet as Tortola.

The roads are in much better condition here, in my opinion. There are countless things to do on this island: shopping, snorkeling, hiking, and much more. It is probably best known for its Virgin Islands National Park that encompasses 2/3 of the island.

Fine photos from your hiking and snorkeling vacation. Strange to think that the Annaberg Plantation had its own jail, but I imagine a plantation owner was something like a king back then. Nice stormy photos from Drunk Bay.

Lovely cottage you found, the view is stunning. I can't believe that the other one is 450 USD per night - oh my. Lovely hiking trails you found and I like the old plantation ruins and the fishies :-))

Another great page Mandy! The beaches look lovely, despite the crowds, and I loved the cute turtles in particular :-) Great snorkelling photos too, especially at Waterlemon Cay! And your accommodation looks wonderful :-)
