We stayed 4 nights on Tortola during our Virgin Islands vacation. It is the largest of the British Virgin Islands. In my opinion, it is much more laid back than St. Thomas or St. John. The BVI as a whole seem to attract a lot more boaters than the USVI. It's easy to see why.
- Pros:Gorgeous scenery, a lot of places to explore
- Cons:Maybe a bit too laid back

Nice tips!
WE never have got to this island, and from the looks of the pristine beaches and historical sites, maybe should plan to do so. YOu did a great job on the comments and pictures.
So glad your accommodations turned out even better than expected!! Being right next to the beach woud be quite a paradise.
Interesting tips on this (to me) highly exotic destination. Sage Mountain National Park sounds like an attractive place for hiking.
Lovely island, Mandy :-)) I love this Sage Mountain park, so shady under the trees :-) Oh you are not the only one who loves to admire the flowers, I think they are more beautiful abroad :-) Haha, and the roads would scare me to death!
I hope to visit Tortola at one point too. Great tips and photos!
Sage Mountain...I'm jealous!!!
Avery nice page on your visit to Tortola. I agree the island is a bit to laid back. I think you really need a boat there. Loved your upgraded apartment.
Nice hotel, you got lucky, eh :D Love the white beaches and the breathtaking blue colour of the ocean.
Gorgeous photos Mandy, especially those beautiful beaches and views, eg from Sage Mountain & Rough Point - worth the drive! Your accommodation sounds fantastic too :)
