Nothing says Egypt like the Pyramids and the Sphinx. However, there is so much more to see. For most visitors to Egypt, especially Cairo, The Pyramids and The National Museum are the stops they make and then they move on from there for more highlights to tell their freinds about. Spend some time walking or, if you are a true daredevil, or crossing the streets. See some the "lesser" sights like Coptic Cairo, Abu Sir, Dashur or Saqarra. These places are nearly tourist free, but just as worth while to visit.
