The Symbol of Cairo, The Muhammad Ali Mosque Many people think of the Pyramids when they think of Cairo. However, the true symbol of the City though is the Muhammad Ali Mosque located in the Citadel. |
| | Traffic As you travel around Cairo, one thing you will get used to is the traffic. Either being driven through it (don't try driving on your own) or walking at the risk of life and limb across the street. |
| | People It seems wherever there are not cars there are people, people and more people. Cairo has a fluctuating population of betwen 15-20 million people, and they all seem to be walking on the same sidewalk as you! However, considering the population density, the people of Cairo are about the nicest and friendly people I have come across. |
