"Pisa- Only leaning tower" Pisa by jubistuta79

many ppls talking that Pisa its not only a Leaning Tower. It's true..and not! FOr me, Pisa is only about Leaning Tower. Yes, so many other places to see around Pisa, but when you arrived at Piazza Dei Miracoli, you will spend most of your travel time here, and your eyes will not see other things than this Leaning Tower. A lot of things to think when you see this tower. As many ppls knew about the history, this buidling start to be like this when they completed 3rd floor. Have many ppls think how long they completed this building???? Hehe..check out man! 177 years! Its great ...

Baptistry and Duomo

This is where a main interest placed. In this piazza, there have Baptistry, Duomo and LEaning Tower. As ppls concerned, Italy have a great art making from marble. If you travel aroung Italy by train, you can see there a lot of marble mountain or quary. Some ppl preferred to take a bus from train station. Its quite easy since the bus statin just next a train station. I decided to walk to Duomo and it's only took me 20 mins. Its a good experiences since you can see the whole city. Find the Information centre first before you decided to walk. Not so many signboard show you the direction to this piazza, but there have a easy signboard to Information centre. Be creful, because its close half day on Saturday.

Santa Maria Della Spina

Not many discussion about this small church. I also wondering why it can become famous. Why? After I arrived here, I found that this is a good example of Gothic age..or gothic church in Italy. As we knew, interesting history about Italy, they have Roman Age (Rome and Pompeii), Venetian (Brescia or Vatican) and Renaissance (Florence). So this small church is a gothic church. The best example of Gothic Church, is Duomo in Milan city. I think (my personal opinion) gothic church in Milan is the most beautiful church in Italy, either from art, or engineering scope. Please refer to my Milan page to see the pics. By the way, you can see Santa Maria if you walk from train to Piazza Miracoli. This church erecetd in 13th century.

• Pros:Walking distance to all tourist place. Not a big city and quite safe.
• Cons:Nothing to say because you only can spend 4,5 hours to finish your travelling.Get a ticket earlier to go up Pisa, because they can be a very long Q to go inside.
