The most famous dishes are Kichdi and Gujarathi kadi:thepla;pathra which is colocassia leaves rolled with spices and steamed or deep fried;Dhokla,Khandwi;no meal is complete without buttermilk or chchasi.The thali or plate meals is delicious here. |

lynnehamman Sun Jun 14, 2009 00:16 UTC We enjoyed Gujerat - it has quite a different feel to other parts of India. I also loved the mirrorwork textiles- and bought quite a lot of stuff. I am surprised about the alchoholism problem. I thought Gujerat was a 'dry' state? |
