A once beautiful hill station that is now crowded

Simla has borne the brunt of over crowding and pollution. However it is still worth a visit.Do try and stay at place around Shimla like Chile, Mashobra etc. which are not crowded and are indeed beautiful.

Loved Shimla. Spent 5 weeks trekking from a town north of there to Dharamsala via Kullu , Manali visiting Parvati valley and Manikaran on the way.

Those hot springs sure sound inviting- good that you enjoyed your visit. Nice photos.
