Shop Comic book museum: Comic books and related stuff

The shop is on the ground floor of the Museum of Belgian comic strips, and it's a really cosy shop. It's housed in a beautiful building (built by Victor Horta in 1905), and the atmosphere is really nice.

What to buy: Comic books, but also posters, statuettes, postcards, board games, ... all related to the famous Belgian comic books like Tintin, Lucky Luke, the Smurfs, Buck Danny, ... . You can easily spend an hour or more in here if you're a fan.

Kam Yuen: Chinese supermarket

I know that this tip is useless for most of the tourists in Brussels, but it can be handy for the Asian tourists. This is the biggest Chinese supermarket in town, and you can find practically everything you need to cook Chinese (food, drinks, but also equipment).
Another good thing is that they have a free newspaper in Cantonese next to the exit.

Waterstone's: English bookshop

This might be handy for tourists in Brussels. This is an English bookshop with a wide selection of books, maps, guides,... in English about Brussels and Belgium. And of course they have lots of other books, cards, magazines, newspapers in English also.
I pass by this shop when I go to the supermarket and almost every time I hop in to nose around for a while.

Planète Chocolat: Chocolate flowers

Whenever I don't know what to buy as a present for someone, I come here. This is in fact the only shop in Brussels where I've ever bought chocolate. A really nice present is their bouquets of chocolate flowers. They don't have the shape of flowers, but on the flat long pieces of chocolate they put drawings of flowers, and they put the pieces together in a bouquet. Really good chocolate in an nice presentation!

And they have lots of other special chocolate products.
