Beautiful island with great climate | Intrance to the old town Mdina |
On this trip I was assisting a Danish choir "Sjølund Kammerkor" that participated in an international choir competition - and guess what .. we won our category, were the choir with most points and finally our conductor got the conductor's gold medal !
We spend one week there, stayed in hotel Jerma Palace in Marsaskala - good hotel right at the sea. We had a great time but unfortunately we didn't have too much time for sigtseeing because we had to practice our programme.
We went to Valletta every day to practice, compete and participating in a galla concert in the Mediterean Cultural Centre - we also saw a lot of churches and pubs there :-)
I went on 2 sightseeing trips: one to Mdina and one to the neighbour island Gozo (also known as Calypso's island) |
