People in Tunhout like to have parties. This is common all over Belgium, but during the summer there is always something to do. Every excuse is good for a party, special when there is lots of beer ;-)

Every year, on the market square they hold the so called Fri-days. This means that every Friday evening there is a concert from national and international bands. This event is free and is going on from end of June till end of August. Check the website for the bands. See for pictures of some concerts in my travelogue please...

Local Customs: City Park Festival...

Also every year is the city park festival hold at the city park off course. Besides the mini steam trains you find here a lot of other attractions and concerts. A big tent and lots of beer are available too ;-)

Hi ,I went to het "Heilig Graf" from 1947 to 1954 . Seeing the pictures was a pleasure to my eyes. I lived in Turnhout for 18 years. Hoerah for Turnhout ,it's a great city .I was married in the old "stadhuis" in 1955.+in de Maria Middelares kerk. | rochelleyasine Sat Nov 24, 2007 16:55 UTC
