Not our best trip... We decided to go to Tanger to see what was there. Obviously we didn't do our research properly.
It was not much fun. The raw sewage pouring into the bay makes the beach impossible to enjoy. It is also full of trash (and a dead rat!). See my entry on danger tips.
The authorities are trying to do things, like a new beach promenade, high intensity lighting on the beach at night, police presence. We did feel fairly safe.
If you drink alcohol, bring your own!
The slow ferry is really slow - it was delayed 2 hours on the way there, and four on the way back. Probably worth it to take the fast ferry.
Both kids got bad stomach sickness the day after we left. |
