Came to visit a smaller northern Italian town. Verona is actually a very sleepy town. There does not seem to be much happening there, especially when you visit in December when there are no tourists. We weren't into the whole Romeo & Juliet gimmick, so the main sights for us to see were the Roman ruins (theater and arena), the castle and the churches. The old town is a lot smaller than we expected, and there's not that much to see--we really only needed two nights instead of four. |
