Selous Game Reserve is not as famous as the reserves in the north of Tanzania. The result is it is not nearly as crowded. The good thing is, the animals are not used to people and act completely naturally. The bad thing is, it takes longer to find them. You can spend 3 days here without seeing a single lion. But, you can spend the entire day in the bush without seeing another car. |

SLLiew Sat Jan 27, 2007 05:53 UTC Great page on your safari trip with useful hints. The "slow" clock you mentioned here applies to many islands in Southeast Asia. The fisherman boat takes a few hours to arrive. SL | matcrazy1 Sat Dec 30, 2006 17:33 UTC Good tips and great pictures in travelogues. i like especially an the crocodile and elephant as well as fish eagle. | iris2002 Sun Apr 16, 2006 13:04 UTC Whoooo that charging elephant looks serious.... how close did he come to scare you off??? :O | Sean1901 Sun Jul 6, 2003 12:37 UTC Excellent photo of the crocodile (one of the best I've seen). It's such a difficult creature to photograph. Selous was great. Did you see the swimming elephants? |
