"Abu Ghaush" Abu Ghaush by Bregman

Abu Ghaush Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 27 photos

Right on the way to Jerusalem, Abu Ghaush is one the most popular stops. If you come here on a Saturday noon, there is no chance you would be able to find a seat in any restaurant. For any Israeli, the name Abu Ghaush is associated with hummus and Arabic food. The entire village is full with restaurants and people come from both directions, from Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv.

But, there is much more here than just food. There are two churches in the village, a crusader one in the village itself and one on the hill overlooking the valley (you can see the statue of Mary on the top, clearly seen from anywhere on the road). There are several music festival taking place here. So, if you are into choirs and liturgical music, this is your place.
