The National Museum of Science and Technology

Located in the beautiful old Technion building you will find the science museum. This is a perfect place to take children and is much as fun for adults.

Horse Riding in the Carmel Mount Carmel Area Review

In the entrance to Bet Oren, next to the main road (road number 721), you will find the horse farm. This is a great experience for kids and adults alike. You can go for a ride in the area, one of the most beautiful places in the Carmel mountains.

Directions: If you come from Haifa, go up towards Denya, pass the Haifa university, continue on road number 672 and then take a right turn to road number 721 and drive another 1-2 km. Or, you can go south on road number 4 and turn left to road number 721.

Bahai Shrine Tours Bahai Shrine and Gardens Review

When in Haifa, you must visit the Bahai Shrine, shown here at night. The golden dome dominates the city of Haifa and can be seen clearly form anywhere in the lower part of the city. In addition to the building itself with its golden dome, there are also the beatiful gardens, including a view of the Mediterranean. And, most important, it's free :) You can go there by yourself or you can take a guided tour. There are two tours, one for the upper part of the garden and one for the lower part. The tours are free but you must call and reserve a place at least one day in advance.

The Artists Village of En Hod

Not far from Haifa, on the Carmel mountain, there is the artists village of En Hod. This is a perfect place to come on a sunny Saturday. Enjoy the pine forest, look down to the Mediterranean and stroll around the village enjoying the artworks and the artists' workshops. It is also the home of the Marcel Janko Dada museum. Until his death, Marcel Janko lived here in En Hod.

Directions: En Hod is located on the Carmel, between Zichron Yaacov and Haifa. Just take road number 4 southwards and take a left turn to road 7111.

The Beach The beaches Review

One of Haifa's best features is the beach. The beaches are located on the south entrance to the city, up to the port which is in Haifa bay. The bay itself is not that attractive to tourists. There you will find the port and a bit more to the north some petro-chemical plants and oil refineries which ruined the coast completely.
