Restaurant Name: Nanochka
Not so ordinary combination of a Georgian Bistro (that is the former Soviet Union republic of Georgia) and a pub. The place is divided to two rooms, one has a bar and the other has tables and chairs for dining. The bar room is quite noisy with loud music, but you can still have a conversation in the bistro area.

Used to be a fur shop in the fifties, this beautiful house was turned into a steakhouse. The place is divided into two areas: the in-house part and the garden part. If the weather is good, try getting a place in the garden.

No name: Bagels at Night

Restaurant Name: No name
This is not really a restaurant, it's not even a proper bakery. They have only one thing here: bagels. There are two kinds of bagels, the big, oval, soft ones which can be found in Arab places and the tough round ones. This is perfect if you feel peckish in the middle of the night. We used to go there at 3:00 AM in those long nights of studying for exams. You can be sure that no one you know ever been there, you will only find locals there. So, if you take a nocturnal stroll in Neve Tzedek, go in and get some bagels. Then you can go and look around, eating them on the street (which is perfectly normal for Israelis to do, by the way)

Restaurant Name: Mul Yam
This is not for backpackers! If you are looking for some hummus and fallafel you better go somewhere else. This is a luxury sea-food restaurant, regarded by many to be the best sea-food restaurant in Israel. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits on the water. Mul Yam in Hebrew is against the sea. Also, written in Hebrew, the restaurant name is almost identical to the word for mussels.

Apart from the many restaurants of Tel-Aviv, you might want to try the Herzliya Pituach ones. Started as a modest alternative where people went as the parking was easier tan Tel-Aviv, this is now a major competitor. On a very small area, right next to road number 2 (turn left on Ha'Sira Junction), you will find dozens of restaurants. On top of these restaurants, there are now even more in the new marina which is on the same street, at the other (western) end.
