Hanoi Travel Guide: 2,675 reviews and 5,720 photos
Hanoi was one of my favorite cities in Vietnam. I loved the Hoan Kiem District and spent many hours around the lake. There are many shops and restaurants in the area and a pagoda in the middle of the lake.
We stayed in the Old Quarter which consisted of a maze of narrow streets. Many of the streets look alike and I was glad that there were other people with me because I would have gotten lost. In the mornings and afternoons, there are daily anouncements over a loud speaker in Vietnamese that would wake us up.
