I stayed 11 nights from end of June to beginning of July 2007. This hotel is located in the edge of Heliopolis and next to a sport club. It looks urban oasis away from overcrowding Cairo. So it is quiet, away from noise, crowd, etc.
The services in this hotel is more than good, much more sophisticated services compared to previously stayed hotel that was Shepherd Hotel in Garden City, in the centre and just next to Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel. The room was also very good level, however, desk is rather insufficient for business stay and it was expensive internet connection service (Wi-Fi) that was more than USD20 a day. They have daily rate and weekly rate, but not so much difference.
The hotel is Georgian style with rich and broad reception hall. At night, I saw many times of wedding ceremonies during my stay in this hotel. The room has facilitated a double-paned window so it could cut off most of noise from outside and clean and comfortable atmosphere. It looks renovated the room recently.
Jardin restaurant that I had breakfast every morning and they serve good quality of foods, at L’ Italiano, one of the best Italian restaurant in Cairo I believe, I enjoyed to have supper. There are Silk Road and Sushi Bar, but I did not try.
Disadvantage is a little far a way from central Cairo, while advantage is a little far a way from Cairo’s overcrowding atmosphere with rich comfortable spaces.
