Abrakebabra: INteresting Fast Food Option!

When you have been out drinking in Sligo, your munchie options are limited as the food places close fairly early. When all else fails you turn to fast food chains to appease your appetite and the popular franchise "Abrakebabra" comes into this catagory.
There is a branch in the main road into Sligo (near to McHugh's bar) and it is open when some of the other shops have closed. The food is standard fast food - chips, kebabs, burgers and other side orders etc and is off a reasonable quality. The price is very cheap and they have many meal deals to bring the price down even further.
If you don't expect top quality food you will not be disappointed - filling and simple but hell on the cholesterol :-)

Bistro Bianconi Restaurant (& Take Away): Gorgeous Italian Treat

The Bistro Bianconi restauraunt is a fantastic Italian restaurant where you would least expect to find one. There is nothing bad about this restaurant - apart from the fact that the portions are so big I'm sure it is physically impossible to finish the meal!
On our visit we were unable to book as there was only two of us, the restaurant is exceptionally busy and on a Friday and Saturday evening you will need to go early to ensure you get a table. The staff are accomodating and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely - the tables are quite close together but everyone is engrossed in their own conversations and the buzz is infectious. The manager does the room and makes genuine chit chat with customers, remembers what you have said and comes back to discuss further. His advice about portion size came too late for me and I suffered as a result (but in a nice eyes bigger than stomach way!!). We ate pizza and pasta dishes, had the house wine which was fine and when we couln't foinish our pizza the staff boxed it up AND held it while we went drinking! That's good service :-)

Favorite Dish: The menu is full of nice treats - we had calzone and the largest spaghetti bolognese I have ever seen!
