Welcome to Indiana Jones Country!

by wilocrek - last update: Jun 11, 2008

For those of you who grew up revering the Indiana Jones movies, Arches National Park is a sort of mecca, not just for its stunning beauty but technically it would be the place where the fictional Indiana Jones grew up. Steven Spielberg thought enough of Arches National Park that he filmed the opening of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" there. The movie opens in "Park Avenue" and then shows off the "Three Gossips" and finally "Courthouse Towers". And of course who could forget that "The Hulk" was filmed in Arches as well, with a computer generated green blob running amuck around "Delicate Arch"! So whether your a movie fan or not there is plenty of things to see in Arches that will awe and inspire. Well worth the $10 admission fee!

Really lovely photos. We were on a bus tour, so didn't see a lot but loved what we saw. Would have liked to spend a lot more time here, can see we missed a lot.
