Basye Virginia. A small resort town in the the western part (Shenandoah Mountains) of the state. With a ski resort nearby (a mild December led to no snow) there are many interesting towns to walk through and sights to see. The Skyline Drive and the Luray Caverns are short distances from Basye and made for good day trips. |
| | What To Do In and Around Basye Take a drive along the Skyline Drive and stop in one of the small towns to grab a bite to eat. Visit the caverns. Luray is the largest on the East coast. Visit sites related to the Civil War. Go antiquing. Ride a bike or go skiing. Although Basye is a small town there are many activities to participate in and sites to see. Of course, this is a great place to get as much r and r as you want! |
