One of the most spectacular pieces of coastal scenery in the south east of Ireland. Home of the oldest lighthouse in europe and a rich history dating from the Norman invasion to The Templers. Fantastic coastal walks combined with good food and drink available at the Lightouse Cafe and the Templers Inn.

Inside Manions Pub

Small country town which has improved vastly over the last 10 years. It even has real supermarkets these days. Most often just a place people pass through however is surrounded by somei nteresting places of note. ie Manions pub the original Irish Country Pub. Slightly more commercial these days as they have now stopped selling Wellington Boots and SLiced Ham!! Still full of character all the same with excellent guiness on tap and live traditional music. Homemade cooking and Open Fires make it fell most welcoming.

A replica of the"Dunbrody" Famine ship is permanently moored in New Ross Harbour. This ship was used to transport thousands of Irish people across to a new life in America in the mid 1800s. You can have a tour of the ship which includes a re-enactment of how life was for those who took this perilous journey. You can also look up geneology records to ascertain whether any of your ancesters made the journey. None of mine did (but then again I am Scottish and not Irish!)

• Cons:Located next to Kilkenny (you can tell my partners from Wexford!!)
• In a nutshell:Great variety in the scenery it has to offer
