Coming Soon

by Marianne2 - last update: Jul 8, 2007

I promise to myself to get this Homepage up and running
very soon - such as in mid-late June. And, I'll start my Tips. Now that
I've said this, I'm going to have to do it!
Ten-year-old's travel treasure trove.

Ten-Year-Old Gets Savvy

Welcome to my home page, and thank you for visiting!

I am only making a very modest start on the home page, as there is plenty to say, and little time to write about it.

Here's a small insight into my life as a ten-year-old brat, who'd already been on family travels to all the mainland states of the U.S., when we drove our old battered Chevy every summer. There were plenty of good experiences to occupy a ten-year-old's newly-minted traveler's mind, in addition to her interminable reports about "what I did this summer." She'd already become her family's travel planner.

Yet who would know that this later would springboard into the accidental career -- travel in the sense of both being in the industry, and as a business/corporate traveler, and as a frequent leisure traveler. And, also as an expat at various times of life, with marvelous in-depth experiences to broaden the horizons. But before I get ahead of myself ... the little ten-year-old was both confident about her past experiences, and excited about future travel opportunities -- and that's something which has endured with me to today.

Exotic and esoteric travels may have superseded Howard Johnson's motel beds and fried clam dinners, but the travel motivation and excitement remain the same.
