Restaurant Name: Green Moss Restaurant

Many visitors to Hoi An seek out the Mermaid Restuarant in downtown Hoi An. It's been there a long time and has earned a good reputation. I have eaten there numerous times on my visits in 1999 and 2006. However, on my last visit in April 2006 I found a gem of a restaurant called the Greed Moss. It's easy to find. Walk east from The Mermaid about three blocks. The Green Moss is at 155 Nguyen Duy Hieu on the right side of the street opposite a Buddhist temple. It is a cute place and you can eat al fresco in front or on a first floor terrace overlooking the street. Or, if you choose, you can eat inside and the atmosphere is quite nice. Ms. Thu is the owner and chef and she prepares marvelous dishes. The menu is extensive so it should be a cinch to find something that you would enjoy. Highly recommended.
