Home town....now

This is home now, after spending the majority of my life in the Western and Southern part of NYS (New York State... distiction important to those of us not from NYC)

This is an old mill town, as in textile mills. The orginial economy was based on cheap labor, cheap power ( curitsory of the local rivers) and the ability to keep competing industry out via low wages and anti-union activity.

Having said that; there are wonderful people here. If anyone has ever wondered where the US gets its outstanding military from this is a good place to to visit. Patriotism is still alive and well here... albeit with a healthy bit of questioning as is good in a democracy.

For those interested in American History there was a famous event at the former Firestone Mill related to the American Communist Party in the late 1920's

As for the above information, please bear with me as I'm neither a good typer or speller, even with spell check.
