In the healing process | Hotel Intercontinental Manila in front of G4 |
This place was and still is my URBAN REFUGE. I was serving during the Singles Encounter Weekend of our Vicariate when the blasting occured. It's just a small part of the Metropolis, but the ache of the pinky can be felt by the whole body, right (I don't know the English Proverb neither do I know the exact Biblical verse, but it's from 1st Corinthians...I just fractured the translation of the Tagalog version)?I know a lot of people are again scared of visiting us...that's sad. I don't understand why these things have to happen, but they do. It doesn't happen quite often. Oh these people! So afraid of progress...so envious about a lot things...others say it's a "Red Herring"...and I've heard other disturbing facts...but as a whole nation, we're okay.I still believe if it's isn't your time, then it ain't your time! Do I make sense at all?Let me recount why this was my URBAN REFUGE.... It was during a cell group meeting when I looked deep inside of me why this very busy place is my urban refuge. In the midst of the hustles and bustles of urban life, there is peace and tranquility. The chapel of Sto. Nino de Paz found at the Greenbelt area of the Ayala Center is one place I can pray even when it's noisy nearby (but in the daytime it is quiet there). The lush greens and the beautiful buildings...My gosh, even the busy people bring me peace...Yes, yes, I know I'm weird at times. =) (At times?) ;p What I know is it's my favorite place in the metropolis (that is not suburban...because Alabang is my favorite suburb). Now, "she's" undergoing a major healing process...and thankfully, that healing process is very, very fast. |
