Just all around a great city | Cabs at Times Square (2007) |
I have ripped off the title on this page from the David Letterman show, mainly because it is very close to the truth. There are other great cities on the world aswell, and I am not sure I can point out a personal favorite, but NYC would definetly be one of the top three candidates, together with San Francisco and Sydney. |
| NYC Skyline from the ferry to Statue of Lib (2007) |
| | Sightseeing I would reccomend seeing the following: - Statue of Liberty (also gives a great view of NYC skyline, see picture) - Brooklyn Bridge - Central Park - Empire State Building - A Broadway Show (I saw Phantom of the Opera, great show!) - Times Square (but just once, and be carefull about picking up any food here) - Grand Central - It's OK to get on the tour buses, they will take you from site to site, and most of the guides are actually an experience in itself. |
| | Shopping Beeing a tech-head my personal favorite shopping experiences are B&H Photo Video (PS: Closed on saturdays) and the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue, right on the southeast corner of Central Park.
If you are after making a deal on the latest fashion, Century 21, is a good place, Macy's is a bit more expensive but also a lot less stressing.
