Clennell Hall, My Oassis of Calm. | Clennell Hall in Springtime |
Clennell Hall is situated in the northumberland National Park, about 35 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne, and about 10 miles east of Rothbury. It sits in it's own grounds with fine lawns & gardens. Surrounded on 3 sides by rolling hills, it is secluded from the hustle & bustle of every day life. Entertainment night go on until the wee small hours, and this can be anything from a show band or comedian to a folk group or 'disco night'. The Views are breathtaking, and the opportunities for cycling or hiking are abundant. Bird watchers & wildlife spotters will have a field day, as will the casual walker. Fishing is close by, too, ask at the Hall for information about this. There is a Folk Music Festival in May 2007 at the Hall. Use the Hall for a quiet get away, or for a centre for your travels around the National Park, either way, you'll love it! |
