"Bocas Del Toro - sleepy island" Provincia de Bocas del Toro by eileenms

This island has its own little magic. Void of cars and buses, I didn;t even see a post office. Everyone walks or rides bicycles on dusty roads.
The houses are mostly run down wooden caribbean style with hammocks for the laying out in the afternoon breeze.

Not much going on there, unless you are a fisherman.
It was good for me as I was inspired for my artwork by the architecture.
You have to fly from the mainland on a plane for about 1 hour. When you get there, forget about the big cities and just know you are there to relax.

this is a typical event, when the ice man comes out with his cart and shaved ice.
The indian boys get their treats for the day.

Heres a sign , i just thought was great of a b+ b on the island

• Pros:internet cafe, tv availalbe, but no traffic
• Cons:sometimes there is no WATER
