Quiet old city

The old city of Lugas is on the road between St. Petersburg and Pskov about 3 hours by bus.
Here you can find a quiet city along the river, a men's monastery and 2 Rimsky-Korsakov museum sites.

It was an important area in WWII and many old soldiers retired there.
The economy is slow there and it is an example of a quiet Russian city.
Not so many commercial signs and advertisements on the street.

Yeas, a lot of history and quiet freshnesss about the place. That's what I missed during my stay in that area.
