This was a 3rd visit to Langkawi for me. First was in 1988 with my family as one of the destinations in our 10 days Nothern Malaysia Tour. We toured the Northern Peninsular States of Malaysia on board a van loaned from my uncle in Muar, Johor. The trip was with the whole household including my late grandmother.

Second Trip in 2002
The second trip to Langkawi was in 2002, again with my late mom, my auntie, sister and brother in law, my younger brother and my nephew. We boarded the Keretapi Tanak Melayu 2nd class setaed coach adn then took the Ferry from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi and returned to Kuala Lumpur on board Air Asia.

Third Trip in 2003
This trip to Langkawi was with my other half. Again, as I am a train freak, we took the first class berth to Kuala Perlis on board a Keretapi Tanah Melayu train and returned via Air Asia.

Fourth trip in 2007
This time I went to Langkawi alone on a 3 days 2 nights business trip. Langkawi hasn't change much since 2003 except for an obvious existence of a cineplex now. Spent most of the time at the hotel.
