571 HP and 155,000 miles
My daily travel vehicle, a 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo, gets a workout when I travel from one dialysis clinic to another, over Orange County freeways, listening to National Public Radio. It's not a journey I would recommend to anyone else, but it defines what I've been doing to a greater or lesser extent, for the last 40 years. This particular photograph, replete with banners, was taken on a pleasure trip to Corte Madera, at the request of my grandson, Zachary, who was student of the month. He wanted to show his kindergarten classmates that the engine was where the trunk should be and vice versa. Travel can be very exciting when you drive without a spare tire or run flat tires, and no space to fit a tire when it has to be changed. Fortunately, I've never had to choose between the lady or the tire.
