We found out about Bintan through magazines as it is just a ferry-away from Singapore where we live for the past 9 months. Although when you say Singapore, the very first near place that comes to mind is Malaysia..actually it is..but what if you want to have some fun on the beach? Then it has to be Bintan!

Our getaway to Bintan was actually unplanned. I just suddenly wanted to go there Friday afternoon, then I started searching the net for it. Then I found out about Bintan Lagoon Resort, which offers a day trip package. Other resorts I've encountered don't have a day tour package, so since Bintan Lagoon Resort has an office in Singapore, I called them up to verify (Tel No.: +65 6750 2280).

I called Bintan Resort Ferry on how to get tickets to Bintan. I was told that I don't need a reservation since we're only 2 coming..we can just walk in the ferry terminal and purchased the tickets on the same day that we're leaving.

We arrived at the terminal at about 8am ..but unfortunately the 9.15 ferry we're targetting to take was all booked..so we took the 9.55am out.

Travel time was only 1 hour but during the trip you can either watch TV, listen to music or take photos. Since we woke up so early, we just slept all throughout the travel.

By the time we got to Bintan terminal, Bintan Lagoon Resort has its own shuttle that will take you to the resort itself for free! Travel time from the terminal was like about 15-20 mins.
