Zierikzee is the central place of the eiland 'Schouwen-Duiveland'. It is a city with a rich history,of a small settlement to the Ee in the 10th century, and 80% of the monuments on the eiland can be founded in Zierikzee.That's the reason why this city is also well known by the name 'Monuments City' itself.
It has developed into an important city where trade, industry and fishery thrived. Till today it has become the most important city of the sea country.(zeeland)
